The printer that grows with you

The custom apparel market is exploding — but most entry‑level DTG printers are either underpowered, overpriced, or built for a single fabric type. IEHK’s A3 DTG/DTF PRO changes that. It’s an engineered‑for‑performance hybrid that gives you two fully functional print modes in one chassis: Direct‑to‑Garment (DTG) for premium, soft‑hand prints on cotton, and Direct‑to‑Film (DTF) for any fabric — polyester, blends, leather, denim. No more choosing between methods. No more $7,000+ entry barriers. Just a single, reliable machine that scales with you from T‑shirt #1 to order #10,000.

Industry insight (2026): The global custom T‑shirt printing market is projected to grow from $6.28 billion in 2025 beyond $17 billion by 2034. Entry‑level DTG/DTF printers in the $3,000–$7,000 range are the fastest‑growing segment — and the A3 PRO sits right at the sweet spot, delivering commercial features without the commercial price tag.

A3 vs A4: why size and cost matter

Print bigger, sell more

Most entry‑level DTG printers are limited to A4 (8.5″ × 11″). That works for left‑chest logos, but not for full‑back designs or adult hoodies. The A3 PRO delivers a max print area of 13″ × 19.7″ — enough for oversized adult prints, tote bags, and even jacket backs.

Result: You unlock higher‑value orders (full‑back prints sell for 40‑60% more) and can gang‑sheet multiple DTF transfers on a single film, cutting material costs by nearly half.

Per‑print economics that work

With a per‑print cost of just $0.10–0.20 (including ink and film), the A3 PRO pays for itself faster than any competing desktop DTG. Compare: a typical Epson F1070 costs $3,900+ and has similar running costs — but it’s DTG‑only and has a smaller printable area. The A3 PRO gives you DTF functionality as a free upgrade.

At a selling price of $12–20 per printed tee, your margin per shirt stays above 80%, even including pretreat and labor.

Under the hood: what makes it reliable

Original Epson L805 printhead

The same Micro Piezo™ technology used in high‑end desktop printers — 1.5‑picoliter droplets, 90 nozzles per channel, and variable droplet sizing. Unlike off‑brand heads, it maintains consistent dot placement across thousands of prints. Resolution up to 2880 × 1440 dpi, enough for photographic detail.

White ink circulation system

White pigment is heavy — it settles, clogs, and ruins printheads if you leave it idle. The A3 PRO’s built‑in circulation system recirculates white ink every 30 minutes, preventing sedimentation. This is the single biggest difference between entry‑level DTG printers that fail within months and commercial‑grade machines that run daily for years.

Linear rail system

Wheels‑on‑rails wear out and introduce banding. The A3 PRO uses a precision linear rail drive train — the same mechanism found in industrial UV flatbeds. That means zero wobble during bidirectional printing, crystal‑clear edges, and consistent registration when gang‑sheeting DTF films.

How it stacks up vs other entry‑level DTG printers (2026 pricing)
Model Price Max print size Hybrid DTG+DTF? White ink circulation?
IEHK A3 PRO $2,299 13″ × 19.7″ Yes Yes
Epson SureColor F1070 $3,900+ 8.5″ × 11″ (approx A4) No (DTG only) No

OmniPrint FreeJet 330TX $8,000+ 13″ × 19″ No Yes

The A3 PRO is the only sub‑$2,500 printer on the market that combines genuine white ink circulation, a linear rail system, and dual DTG/DTF hybridization. Competitors in this price range are either A4‑only or lack the mechanical reliability for daily production.

Perfect for three types of shops

Startup apparel brands

Launch with less than $3,000 in equipment. Print samples, run small batches, and test new designs without screen‑printing setup fees. The DTF mode also lets you print directly onto poly blends — something DTG‑only printers can’t do.

Event & pop‑up printers

Weighs only 95 lbs, fully encased, and fits on a standard 4‑ft table. Bring it to concerts, festivals, or trade shows for on‑demand custom printing. The white ink circulation means you don’t have to worry about idle time between prints.

Existing screen‑printing shops

Use the A3 PRO for short‑run overflow, photo‑realistic prints, and one‑off samples — jobs where screen setup costs eat all your profit. Pair it with your existing heat press and you’ll be running DTF transfers the day it arrives.

Real ROI: what you can expect in year one
Sample calculation (conservative):
• Average 25 printed shirts per week × 50 weeks = 1,250 prints per year
• Average selling price: $18 per custom tee → total revenue: $22,500
• Per‑print cost (incl. ink, film, pretreat, misc): ~$1.50 → total cost: ~$1,875
• Printer amortization (3‑year linear): $766/year
• Gross profit before labor: $19,859

In other words, the A3 PRO pays for itself in the first 50–100 orders — about 2‑4 weeks of steady production for most startups. Beyond that, every print is nearly pure profit.

FAQ

The Direct to Garment Printing Process… A Brief Overview

First Off, What is DTG Printing?

In 2004, the apparel industry was taken by storm with the onset of the first commercial based direct-to-garment (DTG) printers. DTG printing simply refers to the process of directly printing onto clothes, caps, bags, home furnishings and more. Inkjet technology is used to get things done in DTG printing.

The reason why individuals and small business owners are giving so much emphasis on this particular method is not that hard to find. Inkjet DTG printing is faster, economical and definitely much cleaner than any other traditional printing methods. For businesses, this method curtails much of the start-up costs and surely takes less space than other types of printing machines.

Designers can easily create designs, and then produce great things in a huge quantity. There is no restriction on the use of colors, and there is no time spent in adjusting the screen of the machine. In order to improve the productivity, DTG solution can be paired with an automatic pre-treatment machine. Printers that have the job of producing huge volumes with many machines can think of investing in a tunnel dryer. This would definitely result in a soft handling of the print.

Why Has DTG Printing Become so Popular?

Previously, putting a custom design on a cotton t-shirt or bag would require the use of digital transfer paper (heat transfer) or screen printing. Both aforementioned methods have their advantages, but their extensive disadvantages have contributed to the thought of moving towards DTG printing.

So, What’s the DTG Printing Process?

Even though DTG printing machines all differ slightly, there are still only 3 basic steps in the printing process… it’s a simply process really:

Pretreat – basically prepping your products (t-shirts, bags, etc.) for printing.
Load – properly place your products in each platen.
Print – let the printer do its thing.
… then sell (Step 4), but that’s on you; not the printing machine.

The simplified process described above obviously assumes that you have graphics ready, and that you’re ready to print.

Breaking Down the Full Process

1. Pretreat (for print white ink only)
Pretreatment is basically a primer that you add to your garments. This requires a hand-sprayer or automatic machine to apply a light coat of pretreatment. For print color ink, pretreating your garments is NOT essential, for print white ink it definitely helps produce a crisper image and helps with the wash-ablilty of the garment.

2. Prepping your Graphics
All DTG printing usually begins at a computer. All DTG machine need clear, clean artwork to produce the best image on your garments. Graphics can be created in any number of software programs like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW. Just remember to create your original image in as a high resolution graphic.

A good suggestion is to print out your graphic on paper at the same size you plan to print it on your garment… if it looks good on paper at that size, then it will look good on your garment.

3. Loading and Printing
Once you’ve placed your garments on the platens for printing, you’ll need to send your image to the printer. Your DTG printer will come with specialized software that translates your image into a raster image allowing your printer to produce the printed output.

4. Curing
Just like in traditional screen printing, you will need to cure the ink from your DTG printer. This generally requires 2-3 minutes at 340 degrees F. Curing the ink allows the ink to truly set, and increases the wash-ability of your garments.

Let’s jot down the pros and cons of DTG printing—

Pros

-There is no setup cost as compared to other methods

-Any number of colors can be used in this method

-Turnaround time is quick in comparison to screen printing

-Full-color photographs can perfectly be reproduced

Cons

-A layer is applied to dark as well as colored garments which allows the design to sit on top of the garment

-The pretreatment layer on the garment may leave unnecessary stains

-Sports shirts or polyester garments cannot be printed by this process. This is because of the low cotton content.

Whoever built these, must have been pretty smart. They thought of everything. They even have a built in ink reset button that tells the machine that it is full of ink again.

Let me give a few pointers to new users. It is a learning experience you may mess up a few shirts until you get the hang of it. So maybe I can help you a little…

First of all… Keep a 3mm distance between the shirt and bar. If not a shirt could hang onto the printer head or the printer head get damaged by hitting the table. Before you turn the printer on for the first time make sure that the table is out of the way, With the printer off and the table in manual mode or unplugged, eye the printer head and check the clearing and do so on every shirt until you get a feel for it.

In your Accurip Partner software (White)… Try these settings..

    Printer = Stylus Photo 1390/1400
    ICC PROFILE USE ACCRO DT3 1390 6COLOR 30 1440×1440
Ink Channel = YKWWMC (white ink goes in the Light Cyan & Li;ght Magenta Cartridges)
Paper Size is Your Printer Table Size (For example 13 X 19 on mine)
Resolution – 1440X1440 DPI (COLOR AND WHITE)
DOT SIZE = (SMALL COLOR AND WHITE)
    SPEED = Unidirectional
Ink Limit = (If you set your ink level too high, ink can puddle on the printer head then drip onto the shirt. I had this happen about four times. So you have to experiment to find a balance. Most people use a setting of 55 on a single pass print. What I suggest is that you start out using two passes until you are more comfortable with the machine. Try Ink Limit set at 30 DPI first printing. Send the table back into the machine. The print over the shirt second time with 20 DPI)

I hope that is of some help to you..

Having the Pretreatment right is very important to getting a good quality print. I use 50/50 pretreatment and distilled water. Then pretreat a shirt twice 20 grams weight each time. Instead of trying to soak it with pretreatment one time.

    Good Luck

  2. Kathryn Gough

Nice machine, great price. Michael was so helpful throughout the process and communicated quickly. He answered all of our questions timely. Set up was lengthy but I expected it to be a little more difficult than your average printer. IEHK provided a lot of good info for the set up and tips. The print quality exceeds our expectations and we will likely purchase other items.

  6. tajze johnson

This printer is a blessing, I can print graphics created on any program and get the sharpest possible image in no time. The biggest advantage of A3 DTG flatbed is that no matter how detailed the graphic is, the printer will get it done with high level of precision, another thing is that the ink gets saturated in the garment so beautifully that the fabric remains soft and wearable. 4/5 stars from my side!

  7. Robert Nisham

This little machine has great capabilities, It turns my T-shirt business to good profit.

  8. Patrick Olson

Great finishing and good production rate.

  9. Wi Stride

Although it is a decent device that lets me print images and graphics on all possible textiles in less than a minute per piece but I have identified a shortcoming. When printing on 100% polyester the printer takes longer and also it only prints perfectly on light colour polyester not dark colour. Other than this problem, I am happy that I made the right choice by buying this versatile printer. I must say the quality of print is very good.

  10. Michael Bell

I am a small garments business owner and I have been searching for a reliable DTG printer from quite some time now. All the printers I have used recently were not good and I wasn’t satisfied with the result. Ink always got smudged and printing on light colored fabric was quite different than on dark colored ones. However, with A3 flatbed DTG I am fully satisfied because it not only prints on cotton fabric but on different other materials like leather and acrylic, etc. White ink never spreads on dark textile and I can print any graphic on 5760 x 1440 (dpi) resolution.

  11. Oscar Morales

I wasn’t too keen on getting a DTG flatbed printer being a screen printing fan but when I read the positive reviews of this product I decided to give it a shot. I would say it is a good printer because it is portable enough to carry along anywhere, it helps in making the printing process faster and the quality of print is superb. There is no professional training needed to run this thing and the 2-year warranty makes the product even more reliable.

  12. Aliyah Matos

    Printer works

  13. LETTY VERA

I HAVE A QUESTION. I LIKE THE REVIEWS AND ALL. HOW COMFORTABLE WERE YOU IN BUYING WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ACTUAL HUMAN. I CHATTED AND REQUESTED SOMEONE CALL ME BUT THEY SAID NO. MONEY WILL BE GOING TO HONG KONG. IS THAT HOW YOU PURCHASED?

  14. Warren Scott

It is an inexpensive, heavy duty printer that allows me to create as many products as I want to, the direct to garment technology has made it so easy to print any possible image effortlessly and this printer is the best in this technology. It is perfect for printing on a variety of materials not just fabrics. If at any point I need to shift my focus from garments to handbags or stationary it would be helpful even then because it can print on almost any material. Moreover, it can handle edible inks too so this is a win-win situation for me at least.

  15. Ranjith Kumar

I am happy that I can print directly on any fabric and textile. I have a thing for precision and many printers fail to give the same result as created on the computer but this A3 DTG flatbed is different because its image quality is excellent. The printer never ignores even tiniest details and I am able to print it with just a click from my desktop computer. Very user friendly and reliable printer. Must buy if you want great resolution and washfast fabrics.

  16. Marian Opalka

It works, athough need more time to learn use it

  22. S. Castellanos

This is a great printer if you are looking for a machine that can print white ink perfectly on a dark colored fabric. It is very easy to use and price wise it suits my budget because the printer is considerably low priced, I have tried many other brands by this one is best among all!

  23. Mitchell Cooper

Michael was great to answer my question as to when I’d receive my order. I still feel the company in themselves could have better communication with updating their website

  24. Stefan

bin überrascht, guter Preis, schnell geliefert, nach Einstellung d. Farben perfekt

  25. Allana Harris

Quality product and Excellent communication and support!

  26. Jesse Abbott

This is an amazing machine very little clogging issues and prints all day. All in all its great, doing research and learning with some trial and error on and new piece of technology is all that is needed. This machine paid for itself in just one month of use.

  27. Rodolfo Escalera

This machine is worth every penny I paid for it. For the last 3 months this machine has not stopped printing 5-6 days a week for 8 hours.

Had this machine dialed in to a level I wanted in approximately 10 prints. Worked great.

This machine is a work horse in my shop and because of it I am currently pricing out large format version with entire powdering assembly.

I recommend this machine to many little shops in the area for the onesy, twosy jobs.

  28. Shagor Davis

I have been printing lot of t shirts! excellent printer !!

So far I have only done a test page for the printer but it went great.
It is not easy to set up but once you get past all that it is a great printer.
Make sure to ask for help and it will be easier.

  33. Ed

Been using the A3 DTG for about a week now and it’s awesome! Print quality is excellent! Was delivered quite fast to the US and the packaging/crating was superb. Nothing was damaged upon arrival. This is an awesome deal compared to what the name brand DTG printers cost. Thanks for this awesome printer!

  35. Erica Landwehr

Genial. Ha llegado muy rápido a las Islas Canarias. Ha llegado bien embalado y protegido por el vendedor. Recomendable 100 %. Todo funciona perfectamente. Muchas gracias vendedor. Gracias!!!

  36. Javier Ramirez

I love my printer. It allows me to do so much and faster, too. Their customer service and technical support team resolved a couple of issues, and they went out of their way to resolve them. I’m very satisfied with their service. Like everything else you buy these days, you never know what will happen, but their support is wonderful.

  37. Dianne Kellett

The printer works well. It can do detailed colorful images directly to a white garment. I think to printing on transfer film and heat pressing it to darker fabrics makes the colors come out brighter. The printer does a fabulous job on transfers as well!
